
Jan is a self-taught artist who began painting while staying at home with her three boys. An eclectic artist, she can paint in both realistic and impressionistic style. Her varied subject matter includes landscapes, floral, wildlife and portraits. Jan was the Region 3 winner in the 2005 ìArts for the Parksî competition. In 2006, she had three different paintings accepted in the ìTop 200î and one in the ìTop 100 Miniaturesî in the Arts for the Parks competition. She was also named as a finalist in International Artist magazineís ìFavorite Subject Contestî with a painting of a peregrine falcon on a twisted tree branch.
