Catherine McClung was born and raised in Canada. She now makes her home in Dexter, Michigan, where she finds the right ingredients for her artistic endeavors. The woods surrounding her studio are the necessary inspiration for nature photography, painting, and observing birds. Catherineís style is easily recognized. Layer upon layer of watercolor glaze is used to create her transition between the precise shapes of the birds and the soft blur of the background. Catherineís more recent projects include the neo-tropical migratory bird poster commissioned by the Department of Natural Resources in seven states. In addition, she is creator of ìWinter Greetingsî fine china dinnerware and accessories for Lenox. Visit www.artlicensing.com to see more images
